Ingot sterling, mill-rolled sheet and drawn wire were used to fabricate the body of this unusual ring. Its magnificent, high-domed cabochon is cut from phenolic resin material, precursor to "Bakelite". The substance, once mixed and set, can be carved and is nearly indestructible--with a marvelous look! This particular stone is red amber or carnelian hued.
Certainly a special order, the bold geometric form with its cigar band shank tapered comfortably at the back is accenter with handsome stamp details on the shank sides and around the bezel's thick frame.
