Zuni Sterling Potted Flowers Pendant/ Pin

Sterling silver mill-rolled sheet and drawn round wire were used to fabricate the body of his imaginative creation.  A back plate of sheet was saw cut to pattern.  Sheet was repoussed, cut to shape and soldered to the foundation with a lip of round wire.  Stems are rope twist round wire, as is the loop around the heart stone of the main flower.  Flat drops of smelted silver fill the spaces between bezel "petals".

Natural blue turquoise was hand cut to make 14 tear drop cabochons, each 1/8" X 3/32" and one round 3/32" in diameter.

A commercial sterling safety and pin are attached vertically to the back, as is a loop of wire, through which a chain or cord could be threaded for suspension as a pendant.

"Unknown artist" is appropriate when a work of art is unsigned and a supported opinion about who made it is not available (on Savvy Collector).. "Attributed to" precedes the name of an artist when information suggests that it likely was made by that artist (on Savvy Collector).
