Golden Dogs of Autism is an artist's book, printed on Italian Magnani Velata archival paper, entirely bound by hand, within a special hand-made "tunnel" adapted binding.
Complete with Mini-Manual for training puppies to work with autistic children.
Fran Elliott was checking on a rental property while her accompanying golden retriever was in the back yard. Fran noticed a child reaching through the fence speaking to Peabody, the dog. Nicole's mother saw it too, immediately yelling "Can we buy your dog? Our daughter has never spoken a word until today."
Fran answered "No, but we will have a dog trained for Nicole at no charge to you." Nicole received the first of many golden retrievers bred and trained specifically for each autistic child through a non-profit Fran formed, "The Hairy Angels".
Several copies are available, each with a different edition number of the 500 total. Funds from their sale will benefit non-profits addressing autistic individuals.
