Thre flower buckle with matching keep was fabricated utilizing sheet and wire, mill rolled and drawn from sterling silver ingot. Each round and each "tear drop" shaped bezel was individually soldered prior to being fabrication joined in rows and floral groupings. Fine wire, single and in rope twists, accent, define and frame the decorative elements. In all, there are 101 hand-cut Blue Gem turquoise flush set stones, 57 round and 42 tear drop shaped for petal and leaves.
This amazing, elegant buckle and keep, when compared to the creations of Virgil Sr. and Frank Dishta, demonstrates the strength of artistic soul living through generations in this family. Design and execution are as perfect and remarkable as any first made by grandfather Frank Dishta at least 40 years earlier.
