| About the Artist | Paul Remely worked in oils and made sculpture, but was primarily known as a Pennsylvania watercolorist, selling them mostly in the Northeast. He lived in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania his entire life, painting most of his work in and around the Lehigh Valley. Remely was the first President of the Bethlehem Palette Club, formed in 1947 to stimulate local and public interest in fine arts and in the artist in the city of Bethlehem. He served as President of the club 1947-1951 as well as 1967-1969. Paul Remely died in 1973. |
