About Vangie Suina
(Born 1959, Cochiti Pueblo) Mary Vangie Suina has been creating clay figures since the early 1980's. She is known for fashioning polychrome jars, bowls, storytellers and nativities. Her mother, Louise Suina is credited as having taught Mary Vangie to make pottery. The precision of her figures and their painted decoration is characteristic of Vangie's work.
