This necklace, figures and chain were hand fabricated with sheet and wire, mill rolled and drawn from ingot.
Blue Gem turquoise from Nevada was sliced and cut precisely for each of the graduated rainbow god figures. Each one is as perfect in execution and symmetry as anyone could ever want.
The round wire chain, created to complete this splendid collar is 9 1/2" long including hook and eye. Overall length is 15".

About the Artist | Active 1930's to late 1970's, Lee Edaakie was a Zuni jeweler who worked with his brother for C.G. Wallace. Mr. Edaakie was best known for his channel inlay work, as well as his mosaic inlay creations. He also had an affinity for superior grades of turquoise, often choosing stones with rich matrix and highly saturated color. Most every publication addressing Native American jewelers reference this gifted artisan. |
