About the Artist

(Born 1940) "Bernard Vetter graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso and has been a professional artist since 1972. He uses a dry brush technique to paint realistic watercolors of Southwestern and wildlife/sporting subjects, including fly-fishing scenes. In his oil paintings he specializes in Southwestern landscapes, typical of Southeastern Arizona, New Mexico and West Texas."

Vetter’s paintings are a part of a number of collections including the Favell Museum in Klamath Falls, Oregon; the Pabst Collection in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and the Miller Collection in Ft. Worth, Texas as well as many private collections. In 1994 his work became part of the acquisition of the Huthsteiner Fine Arts Trust.

Vetter’s work is included in the volume Contemporary Western Artists by Peggy and Harold Samuels, published by Southwestern Art. He also was one of the featured watercolorists in Western Art Digest, May/June 1986."  taken from AskArt.com
