- About The Sterling Necklace with 14 Squash Blossoms
All of the silverwork in this stunning necklace was created from hand-rolled ingot sheet of varied thicknesses. There are 24 hand-cut oval cabochons of natural, intense blue turquoise. All cabochons are high domed and incorporate beautiful matrix and surface features of the stone from which it was taken.
Two sizes of fluted beads were made, each size required a different hand-carved male-female die to strike the two halves, solder joined to make each bead. The larger beads became squash blossoms with the addition of a silver tube cut and spread into four petals.
