About the Artist (Born 1955, Navajo)  Known for her pictorial weavings, Sandy Begay became an active weaver in the 1970s.  

She is cited in Gregory Schaaf's publication American Indian Textiles 2,000 Artist Biographies.  A photograph of the artist is shown holding one of her pictorial weavings in this same publication.
