About The Faun Facing Away from the Mask
About Acee Blue Eagle

(1907-1959) Also named Alexander C. McIntosh as well as Lumhee Holot-Tee. His mother was Pawnee-Wichita, while his father was Creek. The name of His mother's clan was the name he chose to use, Blue Eagle. The Creek word for Blue Eagle is "Lumhee-Holot-Tee". The name McIntosh resulted from one family member's Scottish ancestry.

Published in 2006 by Medicine Wheel Press, The Art and Life of Acee Blue Eagle by Tamara Liegerot Elder presents a fascinating chronology of Acee's family life followed by his development as an artist.
