About the Artist | (Born 1950) Upcoming Cowgirl Up exhibition/ sale held at the Desert Caballeros Museum beginning March 31, 2023 will include paintings by Sally Delap-John. Delap-John earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts at Fresno State University. Completion of these degrees was followed by several years of teaching, initially in Australia, later in the U.S. She joined and served on the boards of many local art associations: Society of Western Artists, Alliance of California Artists, Kingsburg Art Council, Kings River Arts Council, Sanger Art Guild. Manitou Galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico sold her work for many years. Currently Delap-John is a gallery artist since 2013 at The Art Hotel at La Posada in Santa Fe and at The Madelaine in Telluride, Colorado. In 2018 she had a major retrospective exhibition of 70 paintings at the Hanford Art Center. New Mexico, Southwest Art and Western Art Collector are three magazines featuring Delap-John's work. 2023 will be the second year she has been invited to show at the Cowgirl Up exhibition. |
