Notice how this white marble has been convincingly carved to resemble a soft material bound by gold colored rope. Breasts are typically characterized as soft and these are the antithesis of fleshy as they are inset cast bronze!

(Born 1958) Born in Saynatsalo, Finland, Auvinen earned a Bachelor of Art in Sculpture and Drawing in 1984 at California State University in Chico, California and an MFA in Sculpture in 1997 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Auvinen's earlier work was in bronze, steel and found objects. For over a decade he has chosen to work almost exclusively in marble.
After living in the United States for many years, Auvinen taught sculpture at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. More recently he resides in Chico, California.
