About Silvio Silvestri: (Born 1948) A plein air artist in Southern California, Silvestri paints on location throughout the western United States and Europe.

A psychotherapist for thirty years, Silvestri minored in art as an undergraduate. Painting part time, he is known to depict coastal, desert as well as California foothill scenes.
Additional training he sought via private study with the following artists: Kenn Backhaus, Ron Rencher, George Strickland, Jove Wang, TM Nicholas, Robert Sandidge and Don Hatfield.
