- About The Vintage Ingot Silver Wide Cuff with 36 Piece Blue Gem Channel Inlay
Hand-mill rollled heavy gauge ingot sterling sheet was used to fabricate the body and precise box channeling for this cuff. The skill required for contruction of the channel feature and cutting the turquoise to fit each crisp cornered opening can only be credited to a master. Lambert Jr. followed in his father's footsteps, creating only a few such bracelets for C.G. Wallace, from the late 1940's to 1950.
The turquoise used in this cuff attributed to Lambert Homer Jr. is the highest grade, from the Blue Gem mine in Nevada. Its turquoise is hard and takes as well as keeps a high polish. All but one of the 36 near-squared rectangles, 1/4" X 5/16" each is an intense deep blue with gold to dark red brown matrix. An intentional, single turquoise inlay was cut from a teal green Blue Gem turquoise with gold brown matrix. It is this lone, unique detail that brings the entire cuff into focus, not just for its remarkable beauty, but for the incredible talent of its creator.
