About Johnny Secatero
(1945-2010) Johnny Secatero was a Navajo artist whose work is published in the Clara Lee Tanner book titled Southwest Indian Painting. His paintings tend to be in watercolor. Secatero's traditional paintings are included in the following collections: Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Secatero's awards for painting spanned more than 30 years. His work has been exhibited at all the major museum venues featuring American Indian art.
