About the Artist | (Born at Jemez pueblo in 1954) Marie Romero taught Laura how to make pottery. Gachupin's career as a clay artist has subsequently spanned over 40 years. I first encountered her work in 1978. Gachupin fashioned these amazing lidded owl vessels in clay. Her stone polishing was and is routinely superior. |
