About the Artist | (Born at Jemez pueblo in 1954) Marie Romero taught her daughter how to make pottery. Gachupin's career as a clay artist has subsequently spanned over 25 years. I first encountered her work in 1978 when she fashioned these amazing lidded owl vessels in clay. Her stone polishing is routinely superior. |
