About The Western Apache Pictorial Coiled Basketry Olla

Solid martynia rim treatment.  Solid seven (7) petal start double outlined in martynia, measuring 3 1/4" in diameter.  Overall design consists of stepped diamonds in martynia, each containing different decorative elements.  Around the basket's neck, each diamond contains a solid dark cross.  At basket's shoulder stepped diamonds contain a diamond shape consisting of alternating stitches in martynia and willow.  Other stepped diamonds host animals in martynia as well as coyote track designs.
