- (Born 1936, Zia pueblo) For over sixty years, Eusebia Shije has made polychrome pottery, often graced with simple Zia bird designs.Publications referencing her work include Arizona Highways magazine; Southwestern Pottery: Anasazi to Zuni , Barbara Babcock's The Pueblo Storyteller: Development of a Figurative Ceramic Tradition and The Pottery of Zia Pueblo by Francis Harlow & Dwight Lannon.Shije received numerous awards dating from 1976 forward. Two years in a row she received the Richard M. Howard Award for Best Traditional Zia Pottery (1980, 1981).
