Different lengths allow these two necklaces to nest, comfortably, one in the other. Both strands are durably strung on Kevlar cord for secure wearing.
Deep blue, natural nuggets from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Globe, Arizona were tumbled in walnut shells to polish, then drilled for purposes of stringing or wire wrapping into jewelry. These nuggets are currently in necklace form, with hand-made fine silver spacer beads the size of seed beads. The tiny beads are made by wrapping ingot wire around a mandrel and hammer fusing the ends together.
Sterling cones, hogan beads, wire hook and eye findings used to finish the necklace are all products made by hand and sold by Indian Jewelers Supply Company, which employed Native American artisans since 1945, when the business was started by the Woodard brothers.
