- In spite of the serious detail Vandever put into the silver work on this magnificent piece of hand art, the appaloosa mottled Royston turquoise with its deep blue greens and gold to brown distribution of matrix looks like an aerial view of some exotic happy place. It is hypnotizing as well as beautiful and unique in all the world !

- About The Natural Deep Blue Green Turquoise Ring with Golden Matrix
Sterling silver drawn wire and mill rolled sheet were used in fabrication of this showpiece ring.
A stunning "corner clipped" hand-cut trapezoid cabochon of natural Nevada turquoise is the star of this ring. Stone measures 7/8" X 5/8" and has been set in a saw notched bezel surrounded by a trenched silver wire coil tightly wrapped. This is framed by a heavy square drawn wire, saw cut and file notched decoration on north and south edges. East and west sides are file notched, at each end of a cutaway. On these spaces are soldered five smelted silver raindrops in rows across from one another--nicely balanced.
The wide shank has been evenly divided into five bars and fan out on each side where they are soldered to the face back plate and carefully smoothed. Every detail is perfection of planning and execution.
