Sterling silver mill-rolled sheet, fossil ivory and India ink are the primary materials used to create this sweet feline jewelry item. The pin back is a manufactured round head safety mechanism, very secure.
With exception of the pin finding, everything else is "made from scratch". Fabrication for the face setting and ears consists of heavy gauge silver sheet. The cat's face is hand carved of a varigated tawny hued fossil ivory. Details of features are "scrimshawed" with black India ink and yellow paint applied for color.
The result is a friendly, "knowing" countenance even a dog lover can appreciate !
