About the Artist | "Born circa 1960, a Jicarilla Apache and a Jemez Pueblo native, Francis Paul (his father) was a highly regarded artist. In 1980 Felix Vigil graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, having earned a degree in painting. Vigil's work has been exhibited at the Heard Museum, the Eiteljorg and The Wheelwright in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has received awards for his work through the Scottsdale Native American Indian Cultural Foundation Arts and Crafts Competition as well as through the Southwestern Association on Indian Arts. |
