About the Artist | "James A. Rome was born in 1936 in Clearwater County, Minnesota. He studied art in Portland, Oregon and moved to Arizona in 1963 and to Jerome in 1970. Mr. Rome has been featured in one-man exhibitions throughout the United States including Arizona, California, Florida, New Jersy, New Mexico, Texas and Oregon. Over the past 45 years Rome has mastered oil painting, etching, serigraphy and lithography. His style has progressed from realism in the 1960's to representationalism in the 70's and to symbolism in the 80's. Since then he has explored the multi-dimensions of Platonic solids, combining science, nature and spiritualism in his work." The above was taken from the Jerome Artist's Cooperative online gallery. |
