|About the Artist||(1923-2017) Originally from Washington, DC, Dorothy Fratt attended Mt. Vernon College, the Corcoran Gallery School of Art and the Phillips Memorial Gallery Art School. Represented by the Yares Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona since the middle 1960's, she was an Arizona resident since the late 1950's.
Fratt exhibited in Washington, D.C., New Mexico, California and Colorado as well. In April 1980 a ten year survey of her painting was staged at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. Her work is included in both public and notable corporate collections.
Museum Art Plus in Donaueschingen, Germany has a major exhibition of Fratt's canvases between 2018 and 2019, producing a full color catalogue in honor of this show.
