About the Artist | (1885-1954) Born in Rochester, NY, George Renouard was a painter, an art educator and a graphic artist. Educated at Erasmus Hall and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and Art Students League in New York City, Renouard had a studio on the East side of New York City. Later he moved to Baldwin Harbor on Long Island. Renouard painted in Rockport, Massachusetts, Vermont, Staten Island and numerous other places. His paintings were sold by the Weyhe Galleries and Morton Galleries. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design as well as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. |
