About The Winter Yei
About Phillip Belone
(Born circa 1950) A long time Navajo resident of Arizona, Belone attended the University of Northern Arizona.  Belone has pursued music, silversmithing, painting and sculpture.  

A resident of Tuba City, AZ, Mr. Belone attended Gallup High School as well as Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.  

His first place awards were earned at: the Heard Museum Guild's Indian Art Fair in Phoenix, AZ, Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonials in Gallup, NM and the Navajo Nation Museum in Winslow, AZ.
His artwork is included in the permanent collection of the Heritage Center Collection at the Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, SD.

The artist's comment regarding his artistic intent was to make non-Indians aware of Indians and their connection to the natural world.
