Sterling Pendant Hoop Earrings, with Beads Attributed to Jack & Mary Tom

Sterling silver wire and mill-rolled sheet of different gauges were utilized in fabrication of these earrings.  The deeply fluted and smooth hogan beads were made in two parts using a special die stamp for each style of bead.  These halves were pierced, then solder joined.  Careful filing, sanding and polishing followed with oxidation applied only to the fluted beads and the stamped drops on the earwires.  

The last touch was added for visual depth.  Before the hoop wires were soldered to close and attach each to an extra ring at the top, the beads were "threaded" on the wire and allowed to move freely with a "play" with gravity.

"Unknown artist" is appropriate when a work of art is unsigned and a supported opinion about who made it is not available (on Savvy Collector).. "Attributed to" precedes the name of an artist when information suggests that it likely was made by that artist (on Savvy Collector).
