About the Artist | The children of Lela and Van Gutierrez, Margaret (Born 1936) and Luther (1911-1987) (sister and brother) were known for their intricate designs, applied using a wide range of colors against a tan background color. Polishing the surfaces with a rag rather than a stone yields a silky feel to their pots and whimsical animal figures. |
