About the Artist The Pima Indians of the desert Southwest are known for basketry that is made primarily of willow and martynia (devil's claw) in a very labor intensive process. For more information. refer to Indian Baskets of the Southwest by Helen Tanner as well as my personal favorite The Basket Weavers of Arizona by Bert Robinson.
Medium Bundle of grasses forms foundation. Willow and devil's claw (martynia)
Size Largest basket measures 1 1/8" height X 1 15/16" diameter. Smaller basket measures 1" height X 1 5/8" diameter.
