The silver components of the bracelet, there are five, were individually die struck to produce both the stamped details and the cut out form of each piece. They were then hand finished, soldered together and given a final finish after the turquoise stone was bezel set.
The curve of the bracelet was also done on a mandrel by hand with a leather mallet just before the turquoise placement.
The stone is a medium blue green dappled with an ivory white and tan matrix. The stone measures 1 3/16" X 5/16" and rises to a maximum of 3/32" above the bezel.
The bracelet is a production piece created with the help of artisans. Whether the design and manufacture came from Maizel or Bell Sterling, the finished product, which has only a "quality" sterling mark, is well made and beautiful to look upon.
The stone looks like a stream during spring thaw!
