Elegance and comfort are happily married in these stunning pendant earrings created by Navajo artist, Leo Yazzie.
Hand crafted of heavy gauge sterling silver, every sculpted and stamp-scored detail is perfection.
The tops are each set with a specimen high grade Lone Mountain spider web matrix blue turquoise cabochon. The bezel securing each stone is edged with 11 deeply carved scallops whose petal curved tips catch the light.
A graceful swallow tail pendant suspends from this by means of a link. Flairing gracefully from a top width of little more than 1/16" to a gracefully formed 9/16" width at the bottom, each pendant echoes the meticulous work of the bezels. Four perfectly stamped lines complete the look of a stylized feathered swallow's tail.
The suspension is proportionally balanced, designed to help the polished curved surfaces capture and reflect light with the wearer's every movement. This is the charm of American Indian jewelry. It lives on the one it adorns.
