About the Artist | (1933-2010) A native of Breckenridge, Texas and a graduate of Texas A & M (1955), he studied with Milford Zornes, the California watercolorist (1973) and Robert E. Wood (1974, 1977-1978). Phillips was a member of the National Watercolor Society, the Watercolor West and the Arizona Watercolor Society. Mr. Phillips had 39 solo exhibitions and had exhibited in over 100 juried shows across the United States. He conducted art workshops through the United States, England and Mexico. From 2001 forward, he taught at the prestigious Scottsdale Artists School. Phillips was cited in Who's Who in American Art for many years. |
