About The Storyteller with Eleven Children

I haven't seen anyone apply a glittery substance on the collar, sleeves or hem of a storyteller before, lending a festive quality.

This storyteller's long thick braid is distinctive. Slip application is decidedly adept as well.  Her squash blossom necklace is perfectly positioned.

About Anita Cajero

(Born 1965) Anita Cajero is from Jemez and works in clay as well as jewelry. A member of the Sun Clan, she is a fourth generation potter who first exhibited at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 1985.

Clay and slips native to Jemez Pueblo Cajero uses along with volcanic ash to form her storyteller figures using a coil and pinch technique.
