About The Parrot Mask

The detailed painting, the laborious carving of each blossom framing her face, the extreme care in connecting the hair surrounding this divine face-- is nothing short of amazing!

About Balinese

Typically made from wood, the goal of a Bali tribal mask is to scare off evil spirits, sickness, or to prevent natural disasters such as famine, drought, and floods.

Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east.  It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music.
