Handsomely tailored ingot silver cuff, set with 5 natural blue turquoise stones.
The stones are round to slightly oval cabochons, hand cut, selecting material with little and no matrix to tell which mine from which they were excavated. Very high in quality, extremely hard in a highly desirable color of blue. "Clear" turquoise (sans matrix) is masculine and represents the sky.
The silver work is quite the sampler of techniques, yet not overdone. The triple shank is all crafted from ingot. The center, flattened rope twist is made of plate-drawn wire, soldered, then hammered. The outer two bands are swedged and stamped on one side creating a scalloped frame for the cuff which tapers and ends in a foot plate. Even the raindrops between the smooth bezel stone settings are delicate and round, melted from bits of silver wire, while the drops (one) at each end of the row of settings are melted then struck with a stamp, forming a neat half sphere with a little lip.
An altogether wonderful creation we are pleased to offer to its next prospective owner!
