About The December Morning

One chilly morning with a solitary figure on horseback riding toward the viewer helps you to appreciate electric blankets and wool sweaters or it accelerates your appreciation of people who occupied teepees without central heat.

About Robert Wagoner

(Born 1928) "Robert Wagoner is a self-taught artist whose background is as varied and colorful as the western paintings for which he is famous. After finishing high school and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Wagoner went to college to study forestry. He later became a professional musician and traveled with a band for several years before going back to college to study business administration.

After a long career in construction, Wagoner was encouraged by the late artist Burt Proctor and Olaf Wieghorst, and began to paint in 1960. He now works in oil and watercolor and does some sculpting. He has continued to utilize his talent for writing music and performing, and currently performs with a western singing group doing television, films and recording.

Wagoner is included in American Artists of Renown and Who's Who in American Art, and lives in California with his wife Nora Jean."  He is represented by Taos Fine Art Gallery located in Taos, New Mexico.
