This bold spirit form cuff by Joe Tsosie was made about 25 years ago and has been carefully worn.
It has a wonderful collection of 7 different types of turquoise--all specimen quality, high grade as well as deep purple sugelite and a ripe, red piece of Mediterranean coral. The background to this strikingly simple figure is textured like earth made even more wonderful by the patina of the silver itself.
This is a great work of art and it is wearble by either a gent or a lady, as this piece is not tied to a specific gender. Because this bracelet is NOT sizeable, it must fit the one who chooses it. The choice will be mutual and in that sense a bit magical !!! This sacred spirit form is always considered lucky and protective.

About the Artist | This 20th century Navajo jeweler is not covered in the standard hallmark books or in Schaaf's American Jewelry I publication because he is routinely under the radar. Joe Tsosie does not participate in Indian markets. Often he works for others, like a backup singer. His work, however; is entirely compelling in its quality of execution and its unique composition. He enlists the finest quality natural materials to boot! |
