Each year people want to know what item appearing at my table was most unusual. This year plenty of marginal paintings qualified for the “bad art alert”, but a collaborative wearable artwork appeared that was quite striking. It was created by both Sam English, an Objiwe artist born in 1942 and another individual, Helen M. Helen produced the fringed shawl on which Mr. English drew and painted two very striking portraits. Dated April 2001, the shawl was almost 60″ square.
