If you are charmed by vintage as well as new Cowboy and American Indian art, saddles, books and memorabilia–visit the Phoenix Convention Center for the High Noon Show. 200 dealers will be exhibiting their best inventory to coax dollars from your wallet or purse! On Friday at 11 am go to the South lobby for the F & G Exhibit Halls, paying $50 for early entry. Why pay the extra $35 to shop early? Under-realized treasures have been known to change hands 2-4 times before the standard opening on Saturday. The price of the same item can therefore increase 2 to 4 times before you arrive (had you waited until Saturday) !
www.highnoon.com also allows you to print a discounted entrance coupon on their website. Some people like to visit a show during the last couple of hours to obtain a better price on something that a dealer would rather not lug home.
High Noon stages their own auction of 400 lots on Saturday night, begining at 5 pm Feb 7. A colorful High Noon auction catalogue is available for purchase. Plus this year RG Munn has assembled an extra auction of 300 lots for the estate of Al Luevand on Thursday, February 5 at 2 pm. This will take place at the South Building of the Phoenix Convention Center.
