On page 184 of Uprising ! Woody Crumbo’s Indian Art, “almost affordable to everyone” refers to the original price of Crumbo’s silkscreen prints in the early 1950’s when they were first made.
Fortunately on one of the presentation mats of a “First Printing” version of Crumbo’s screenprints of a Spirit Horse, the answer to what was “almost affordable to everyone” is visible :
