About the Artist

A Navajo Wide Ruins weaver, Emma Roan has been active since the 1970's. She is well known for her favorite designs such as terraced and serrated diamonds as well as banded patterns. Roan sometimes incorporates beading into her work.

Her work is included in the Heard Museum's permanent collection.
