About the Artist

(1956-1993) This Hopi silversmith began his career in 1976 at the Hopi Silvercraft Guild. His clan was Bluebird-Spider and he was from Mishongnovi Village.

One of this artist's hallmarks is illustrated in Hopi Silver The History and Hallmarks of Hopi Silvermaking by Margaret Nickelson Wright.  Quanimptewa is also referenced in Theda Bassman's book the Beauty of Hopi Jewelry.
