(Born 1947) Listed as a realistic painter of the historical and the present West, Odell was born in Los Angeles.
At Westmont College he studied psychology and human relations. After experiencing Rembrandt's work in Holland, Odell taught himself to draw and paint. This led him to illustrating books and motion picture studio illustrators. In 1980 he was featured in the November/ December issue of Art West magazine.
Odell was represented by Trailside Galleries as well as Texas Art Galleries. Peggy & Harold Samuels includes Odell in their volume Contemporary Western Artists published in 1982.
