(1932- ) Born in 1932 in Lyons, Texas, Keese earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston.
Keese returned from the service overseas in Germany to experiment with painting many different styles, exhibiting in competitive exhibits with the Texas Fine Arts Association, the Texas Watercolor Society, the Beaumont Art Museum, the State Fair Association and the Southwest Print Society.
In 1963 he became staff artist for the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Burke Baker Planetarium. This work experience, coupled with his personal interest in realism, drove his development into becoming a fine wild life artist. In 1970 he elected to devote himself entirely to the painting of wildlife, often working on location.
Keese currently resides in Texas where he continues to record the state's natural beauty. Several Texas galleries proudly offer the artist's work for sale.
