Kathleen Henderson (Born 1954) is a Cherokee artist whose recognition is considerable. Her work has been in seven solo museum and gallery shows and numerous group exhibitions including including Smithsonian National Museum of American Indian, Pastel Society of the Southwest, Pastel Society of America, Mt. Oyster Club, American Academy of Equine Art, Museum of the Cherokee, the Five Civilized Tribes Museum and more. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists (AWA), American Plains Artists (APA), National Oil and Acrylic Painter Society (NOAPS) and Single Action Shooters Society (SASS).
Henderson has been featured in Southwest Art magazine and Oklahoma Today. Her work has been in several books including The American Indians: An Illustrated History, The Biographical Directory of Native American Painters, Talking Leaves by Eric Veitch and Verner Bedtsen's Cherokee Art: Historical Precedents.
