About the Artist

(1903-1987) Luce was an accomplished woman making her mark in the 20th century: playwright, editor, journalist, ambassador, socialite and U.S. Congresswoman.

And once Clare and Henry moved to Arizona in the 1950's, she took up painting.

Mrs. Luce also designed the mosaics at St. Thomas Church located at 24th Street and Campbell in Phoenix.
