(Born 1926) Also known as Charles Lee, Huska Yel Ha Yah translates to Warrior Who Came Out.
Lee studied both art and music at Santa Fe and at one time, sang in a Santa Fe choir. At one time he painted with Harrison Begay. Lee is perhaps best known for his paintings of horses.
Lee is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and a missionary to the Navajo people.
Numerous museums include his work in their collections. Lee is included in every major book chronicling the work of Native American artists. He illustrated the book Pathway to the Sky.
