(Born circa 1940 - 2008) Womack made art as a youngster. He took art classes at a school in Chicago, where he later did Graphic Design for almost every major company in the Chicago area.
Womack served in the Navy. Later he retired to Fayetteville, Tennessee living on his sister's property, converting an old corn crib into suitable housing. This artist illustrated adult as well as children's books.
When asked if he had ever done a political cartoon, he said that he did once, but that it was too expensive to do another. Womack explained that the one cartoon related to property taxes. The response from the department responsible for property taxes was that they came out and reassessed his house, substantially raising his property taxes. Consequently, he did not attempt another political cartoon.
