About the Artist

Jane Rosen was born in New York City and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972 from New York University. She also attended the Art Students League in 1975. Rosen has held solo exhibitions throughout the United States, including in New York, San Francisco and Kansas City. Rosen received many awards and grants, including an award in sculpture from the National Endowment of the Arts in 1980-1981. She has taught art at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, University of California at Davis, Stanford University and at the LaCoste School of the Arts in France. Her current position is at the University of California at Berkeley. Rosen's art is included in the collections of the Albright-Knox Museum in Buffalo, New York; Brooklyn Museum in New York; Scottsdale Museum of Art in Scottsdale, Arizona and the Luso American Foundation in Portugal. Rosen currently resides in San Gregorio, California.
